Welcome to the Iowa Physiological Society!

Iowa has a long history of excellence in physiology. The Iowa Physiological Society (IPS) is the state chapter of the American Physiological Society (APS).

Our mission is to connect and strengthen the community of physiologists across Iowa—spanning molecular, cellular, organ, and whole-body research—while advancing excellence in teaching, scholarship, and scientific exchange. IPS fosters collaboration among scientists, clinicians, and educators, and provides valuable opportunities for trainees to showcase their work and engage with peers.
